Follow me throughout the summer as I attempt to hike from Mexico to Canada over the course of 4 1/2 months for the benefit of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Since I'll be in the wilderness for much of the time, I may not be able to update it as much as I would like, so be sure to check in even if you don't see updates.

Muir Hut
This is a photo of the Muir Hut which is found at the top of Muir Pass, the last major pass on the PCT. Because the snowfields covered about five continuous miles of the trail through this area, I wasn't able to get through all of it before the sun went down. Along with two other hikers, I spent the night in the hut on June 30. A couple of marmots also called it home and left many indicators of their presence, some of them odors.
