Follow me throughout the summer as I attempt to hike from Mexico to Canada over the course of 4 1/2 months for the benefit of the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Since I'll be in the wilderness for much of the time, I may not be able to update it as much as I would like, so be sure to check in even if you don't see updates.
Ryan, keep on hiking. You are in one of the most treacherous wind areas in all the earth. When windmill technology started in the 80's this was the area where all the prototype testing was done by most of the manufacturers from all over the world. What is the name of the coffee shop in Tehachapi? I will stop there next time I travel through.
ReplyDeleteIt's called Mama Hillybeans. The address is 426 E. Tehachapi Blvd. www.hillybeans.com. They are super welcoming!
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm definitely looking forward to getting out of the wind tunnel here. I've been in wind before but this takes it to another level!
